  • lips, palate, tongue & gingiva

Treatment of herpetic gingivostomatitis

  • palliative measures
  • fluid, rest
    remove plaque & debris
    topical local anesthetic
    systemic NSAID
  • postpone extensive perio tx
  • local or systemic antibiotics if opportunistic infection exists over the ulcerated area occur
  • refer to a physician if lesions last more than  2 weeks
