Esthetics

Class V cervical lesions can be easily restored with composite resin. When the lesion is deep, restoration with composite resin will restore the physiologic shape of the tooth. One thing to remember is that when these lesions are over the root surface, the crown will appear long, sometimes, too long. Let’s look at this case in the pictures below.

The exposed root surfaces over the canines have been restored with composite resin, and these teeth look unesthetic because of the long clinical crowns, especially # 22 and #27.

Please go to other pages on esthetics from the menu above. Root coverge procedure can provide a more natural solution to Class V lesions, especially when marginal gingival recession is present.
